How does Chem-Dry carpet cleaning work?
Brimley's White Glove Chem-Dry uses a process called Hot Carbonating Extraction (HCE). Instead of soaking your carpet with hot water like traditional steam cleaning, HCE uses the natural cleaning power of carbonation — millions of tiny bubbles — to lift dirt, allergens, and bacteria from deep in your carpet fibers.
The solution we use is The Natural®, a green-certified, non-toxic hot carbonating formula. The carbonation loosens and lifts soil to the surface, where it's extracted and removed. The result is a deeper clean using about 80% less water than steam cleaning, with no dirt-attracting residue left behind.
How long does carpet take to dry after Chem-Dry cleaning?
Most carpets are dry within 1-2 hours. Because the Chem-Dry process uses about 80% less water than steam cleaning, there is far less moisture to evaporate. In Phoenix's warm, dry climate, carpets often dry even faster.
By comparison, steam-cleaned carpets can take 1-2 days to fully dry — a long window where wet carpet can attract dirt, develop odors, or create conditions for mold in the padding.
Is Chem-Dry carpet cleaning safe for pets and kids?
